What is @marineinvertgirl?

An educational marine biology social media channnel with over 21,000 followers across all platforms.

A social media channel created to educate local beachgoers about what they see on the shore, sandbars, and what is living right under their feet. My goal is to increase awareness for often overlooked marine invertebrates and therefore the ocean, to talk about estuaries and why you should protect them, and allow people to learn something new.

Ever since I was young, I’ve been fascinated by spineless sea creatures. Today, I can identify marine invertebrates on the spot and share fun facts about every animal I come across on a sandbar. This love for the ocean, combined with my passion for creating fun and creative videos, led to the creation of @marineinvertgirl. I have years of content from my low tide explorations, and I love to share this tidal world with folks who are as intrigued by it as I am!

As of July 2025, my Instagram has already reached over 8 million people monthly since I began posting in April.
