A colleague and I created this video to showcase the Rachel Carson Reserve in Beaufort, North Carolina. We wanted to illustrate that is more than its many charismatic animals - from wild horses and dolphins to sea turtles. But if you look closely, there’s an abundance of smaller, enigmatic, spineless creatures. The marine invertebrates.
We took home two awards for this film at the National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR) Film Fest during the 2025 NERR Annual Conference.
